about
Thanks for stopping by.
I’m Aimee Giese and I am a business owner, graphic designer, web developer, photographer and blogger from Denver, Colorado. My husband Bryan and I have one son, Declan (Dex), who is in fifth grade, loves to invent things, loves to read, loves to draw, and tolerates being dragged along with us on our adventures.
I am happy to call myself a mom or parent blogger, but in truth, I am probably more of a lifestyle blogger who talks about her kid a lot. Because photography, music, travel, social media, technology and liberal politics also play a huge role on my blog.
Hey, neat! I was a finalist for the 2008 Weblog Awards in the category of Best Kept Secret and I am featured on Alltop in both the Moms and Twitterati sections. Also awesome and humbling: Westword named me their "Top Twitterer in Denver" for 2010. Then Babble included me in their "Top 50 Twitter Moms 2011" and "Top 50 Parents on Pinterest 2012" lists. Wow.
The Name
Both “Greeble” and “Monkey” were my son’s nicknames when he was in my belly. Monkey because he was constantly jumping up and down, and Greeble because my husband is insane. Seriously. He just made that word up. NO it’s not my last name, NO it’s not a child’s toy – it’s just a silly word from some silly people.
My Photography
I take a lot of photos. LOTS. Including photos of people I am with. If I ever post a photo of you on my blog or Flickr that you are uncomfortable with, please please please let me know and I will remove it. Otherwise, I’ll keep doing it because you are so incredibly cute.
Oh, and Mr. and Mrs. Internet? Don’t steal my photos. Just because you "can" doesn’t mean you should.
My Company
I used to co-own a health communications research and web development firm in Denver named Klein Buendel. In a nutshell, the company builds health education web sites that help people. During my tenure, we were named one of Inc. Magazine's Top 5000 Fastest Growing Companies in America as well as ranking #50 among all Colorado woman-owned businesses. In 2011, I sold my half of the company and went out on my own.
My new company is Giese Media. I am excited to work in the four areas I love most: Graphic Design, Web and Wordpress Development, Social Media and Photography.
On The Side
I am a contributor to the Denver Post’s Mile High Mamas parenting blog. I also love being a brand ambassador for Nintendo and PBS Kids.
Translation? I don't sleep.

Comments
OMG, I love your comments and interacting with people who visit this site! Thank you for all the lovely things you have said, and all your support over the years.
One caviat though, if someone is being a super meanie poopy pants, I may just go deleting that comment - especially if it's hurting another reader. Just sayin.
Partnership Opportunities
If you are interested in co-branding and promotional opportunities (especially in the areas of photography, travel, music, or tech), or having me come yammer on about blogs, social media, design or photography at your next conference, I’d love to hear from you as well. Advertising requests can be directed to Federated Media.
A word to the wise, however. I maintain this blog as a personal outlet and reserve the right to speak my mind about pretty much anything. I believe in transparency, the golden rule, and above all, honesty. This is not a review blog, and more to the point, not a blog where I will be willing to shill products I don't believe in.
So, if you want to work with me, expect me to be myself ... and I will love you for who you are too.
Network Relationships
I am proud to be working with these fabulous organizations!
